TV ADVERTISING CAN INCREASE HOLIDAY SHOPPING. Millennials ages 18 to 34 will drive online and mobile shopping this holiday season, according to a new report from Google. In fact, 95% plan to use the Internet as a holiday shopping resource, versus 87% of adults ages 35 and above. One in three millennials plans to make a holiday purchase on their smartphone, up 28% over last year, while17% of adults 35+ who own smartphones plan to buy holiday gifts on their phones, up 13% over last year. (Online Media Daily, Oct. 31).
